It is with profound sorrow that the Duncan and Sayonnkon families announce the death of their Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Nephew Mr. George W. Duncan Sayonnkon. This sad event occurred on Monday, March 8, 2021 in Providence, RI, USA after a protracted illness.
The late George W. Duncan Sayonnkon was born unto the union of the late Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Louise Duncan in Kakata, Margibi County; West Africa, Liberia.
The late George W. Duncan Sayonnkon is survived by his Wife (Mrs. Comfort M. Boe- Sayonnkon), his Children Mona Boe, Decontee Paye, Henry B. D. Sayonnkon, Steve B. Bolay, George W. Duncan Sayonnkon Jr., Rita Duncan, Georgia N. D Sayonnkon, Louise E.B.D Sayonnkon.
His Grandchildren Melody, Genesis, Andrew, Boaz, Ayoba, Hawa, Youshia and Nisi.
George was predeceased by his siblings Mrs. Lurich M. Duncan-Crabb, Mrs. Nancy D. Duncan-Sharrow, and survived by his siblings Mrs. Comfort T. Duncan-Sawyer, Mrs. Rose C. Duncan-Vezele and Ms. Elizabeth P. Duncan and predeceased by Mrs. Lurich M. Duncan-Crabb and Mrs. Nancy D. Duncan-Sharrow, a host of other relatives in the United States and Liberia.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mount Pleasant Funeral & Cremation Services on 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, RI on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place at the New Pawtuxet Cemetery, 100 Harrison Ave., Warwick, RI.
The Repast will be held at 107 George Waterman Rd., Johnston, RI. The family asks that all sympathizers kindly consider the current COVID-19 guidelines when visiting and/or paying respects.
