2nd Timothy Chapter 4 verses 7-8: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

It is with the saddest regret that the POPE, Peal, Wilson, and Bryant families announce with a heavy heart the death of Richard E. Pope in his 70th year after being in the hospital for three weeks due to a car accident. This sad event occurred in Atlanta, GA at Grady Memorial Hospital at 5 pm, March 7, 2021. Richard was very family oriented and always there for anybody whenever they needed him. Being the oldest of all his siblings, he was the pillar of the family. His parents, Mr.Richard E. Pope, Sr., Mrs. Maude Pope and his mother, Ms. Ethel Roberts, pre-deceased him. Richard is survived by his wife. Vera Peal Pope, his children; Trokon (Deyonna) Pope, Alvin Pope, Rachael(Michael) Pope-Scott, Princess Pope, Sharon (pre- deceased), Lahai, Tenezee Pope, Saywrayne Jackson-Pope, Anisha Reid, his siblings, Cecelia (pre- deceased), Alaide (Yeve), Cathy (Nat), Karen (Alex), Bendu, Jimmy (Viola), Pinky, Benetta, Julia (pre- deceased), Wallace (Jackie), Patricia (Amos, pre-deceased), Maude (pre-deceased), Sarah (Joseph Chesson), Andre; his grandchildren, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends all over the world.

The public viewing will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Gregory B. Lovett & Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory, 914 Scenic Hwy S, Lawrenceville, GA 30045. All attendees must wear mask and observe CDC guidelines and protocols.

FUNERAL SERVICE:

The funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 11:00 am Eastern Time
Due to COVID-19 and the Chapel’s rules, the maximum capacity for the service is fifty people that were selected for attendance by family. All attendees must wear mask and observe CDC guidelines and protocols. The family will livestream the funeral service. Please see below for livestream link:
