This is to announce the passing of Victor Z. Barcolleh, affectionately known as “Oldpa” on April 1, 2026, in Reston, Virginia, at the age of 56.
Victor was born on October 19, 1969, at the Firestone Hospital in Montserrado County, Monrovia, Liberia. He spent his early years in Kakata, Liberia, where he was raised and began building the strong foundation of family, resilience, and community that would define his life.
Victor was the beloved son of John B. Barcolleh and Weedor M. Barcolleh. He was the devoted husband to his cherished wife, Mrs. Eve Fleming-Barcolleh.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; Eve Fleming-Barcolleh, children: Roger, Sayblee, Sadie, Sabah, and Benjamin. Victor is also survived by his siblings; Marlin, George, Sianneh, Elizabeth, and Rachel. He was a dear brother-in-law to Brenda (wife of George) and Sylvester (husband of Elizabeth).
Victor will also be deeply missed by his cousins: James Quaye, Joe Smith. Mamie Samuels, Tete Smith, Yunga Smith, Scott Quaye, Sam Quaye, Parker Barcolleh, along with a host of nieces and nephews. He will also be extraordinarily missed by his in-laws Mother Rebeca Fleming and the entire Fleming family.
He was preceded in death by his father John B. Barcolleh, his mother Weedor Barcolleh, his brothers: James, Samuel, John Jr, and David Barcolleh.
Victor will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, and the love he shared with all who knew him. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and guidance, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
