The Asare, Wesley, and Logan families announce with profound sorrow the peaceful passing of Beatrix Wesley Asare. On May 31, 2026, the Lord called Beatrix Wesley Asare home at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
Beatrix was born on November 12th in Kakata, Montserrado County, Liberia, to the Union of Mr. Isaac H. Wesley Sr. and Mabel Logan Wesley at Miss Moore Hospital. She was the cherished only daughter among four children and shared a special bond with her three brothers: Isaac H. Wesley Jr. (deceased), George F. Wesley III, and Abraham Wesley (deceased).
Remembered warmly by loved ones as Bea, Sis Bea, Aunty Bea, Bea Wes, Muttie, Baddest Bea, Big Time, and Ma Bea, she was the guiding light of her family. Beatrix was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and trusted friend. She entered her eternal rest, surrounded by the enduring love of those she cherished, and leaves behind a legacy of grace.
Beatrix began her education at the Seventh-Day Adventist School in Sanniquellie, Nimba County. Later, she continued her secondary studies at Ganta United Methodist School and Booker Washington Institute. Recognizing the value of higher learning, she enrolled at the University of Liberia, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.
Following her graduation from the University of Liberia, Beatrix began her professional career with the Liberian National Police, where she served with distinction as Executive Secretary to The Director of Police and provided dedicated support to several Directors throughout her tenure.
During the Liberian Civil War, she joined the Liberia United Bank Incorporated, where she worked as Secretary to the Bank Manager. Her professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethic earned her the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike.
In 2001, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future for her family, Beatrix immigrated to Baltimore, Maryland. In Baltimore, she built a meaningful career and contributed to her community through various professional roles. From 2001 to 2009, she served as a House Manager at Sunrise Residential Program in Baltimore. With dedication to professional growth, she later joined the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Institute (Kernan Hospital), where she worked from 2009 to 2018. In the later years of her career, she continued her service-oriented work as a private caregiver.
Throughout her life, Beatrix was known for her kindness, resilience, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family, qualities that defined both her character and her legacy.
Above all, Beatrix was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, caring sister, and loyal friend. Her life reflected deep faith, steady perseverance, genuine compassion, and an unwavering commitment to the people she loved.
Beatrix Wesley Asare is survived by her devoted husband, Timothy Asare, and her six beloved children: Ibrahim Archie Darbey, Rattee B. Darbey, Joyce Mekela Darbey-Keita, Telly Asare, Akosia Asare, and Zinnah Johnson. Her love reaches into future generations through her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brother, George F. Wesley III, a deeply connected network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, and friends across Liberia, the United States, and the Worldwide.
May the soul of Beatrix Wesley Asare rest in perfect peace.
