It is with profound sadness and heartfelt sorrow that the Bunyan family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Lord Joseph Ghiah Bunyan who was born on April 24, 1954, in Grand Bassa County, Liberia, and peacefully departed this life on July 29, 2026. Lord Bunyan was a distinguished Mining Engineer who faithfully served the Republic of Liberia at the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy beginning in 1980. He remained dedicated to his profession until he and his family emigrated to the United States during the Liberian Civil War in the 1990s.
Above all, Lord will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. His kindness, wisdom, generosity, and unwavering love for his family touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of integrity, compassion, and service will forever remain in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
He leaves to cherish his precious memory:

• His children: JoJo (Ruth) Bunyan, Joey (Amber) Bunyan, Jeannette Bunyan, Dorwin (Christine) Bunyan, Candace T. Bunyan, and Kim Therese Bunyan.
• His cherished grandchildren: LJ (Lord Joey Jr.), Genesis, Kalara, Kimyah, Jeanette, and Leo.
• A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
• His sister Beatrice Peters and beloved cousin Vera Bryant.
• His sister-in-law, Tobertha Morgan, and brother-in-law, Britt Collie.
The Bunyan family sincerely appreciates the many prayers, messages of comfort, and expressions of love received during this difficult time.
