With profound sorrow and heartfelt love, in the morning hours of March 19, 2025, Anastasia Nyemiado Mamie Dalmeida — known lovingly as Aunty Mamie — transitioned to be with the Lord in Atlanta, Georgia. Her passing was sudden, leaving an unfillable space in the hearts of all who knew her.
More than a mother, sister, cousin, aunt, chef, and friend, she was the cornerstone of her family and community. A masterful chef with decades of culinary expertise and an unparalleled skill for kitchen management, her talent and passion made her an invaluable asset in every kitchen she graced. Grounded in her Liberian heritage, she carried the strength and grace of a matriarch whose love and wisdom shaped generations. Her cooking was more than a skill, it was an expression of love, culture, and community. Her life was a testament to unwavering faith, tireless service, and boundless love. From her devotion to God to nurturing family, Mamie’s presence was a light that guided many. Her laughter filled rooms, her prayers uplifted souls, and her acts of kindness left lasting imprints on everyone she touched. She was a woman of action, always putting others before herself and reminding us of all of the power of love in its purest form.
Though her departure leaves us in deep sorrow, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with the Lord she served so faithfully. To the many who loved and cherished her, the Dalmeida, Bruce, Gadegbeku, Itoka, and Madison families invite you to join them in celebrating her extraordinary life and honoring the legacy she leaves behind.
For those who feel moved to honor Mamie’s memory, the family graciously welcomes gifts as a gesture of love and support. To share your blessings, please send to Alphonsus A. Dalmeida via Zelle using mobile#: 678-414-6884.
Please do not send flowers.
