1942 – 2026
With profound sorrow and humble submission to the will of Almighty God, the family of Gbassagee, Lofton, and Lewis announces her peaceful transition from this earthly life on October 8, 2026, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Felicia Lofton Gbassagee was a virtuous woman whose life was marked by love, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, sister, and friend. Her presence brought warmth to those around her, and her legacy of love and family values will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she has departed this world, the beautiful memories she leaves behind will continue to live on through the generations of her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Mr. Samuel S. Gbassagee Sr. and Mr. Johnny Lofton; her parents, Jonathan Davis and Kpaklay Ajuah Benjamin Lewis; as well as four of her children: Judith, Mary, Jane, and Linda. Their memories remain precious, and their absence leaves a deep void in the hearts of the family.
SHE LEAVES TO CHERISH HER MEMORY
• Her Children: Mrs. Comfort G. Matadi, Ms. Precious Gbassagee, Ms. Penneyou Gbassagee, Mr. Samuel Gbassagee Jr., Mr. Edwin Gbassagee, Mr. Jonathan Gbassagee, and Mrs. Samala G. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren residing in the United States of America and Liberia, as well as other relatives, friends, and loved ones whose lives she touched throughout her years.
A FINAL TRIBUTE
Though our beloved mother has answered the call of her Creator, her love, wisdom, and legacy will forever remain with us. Her earthly journey has ended, but the seeds of love she planted in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who knew her will continue to flourish.
We thank God for the gift of her life and the precious years we shared with her. While our heartsmourn her passing, we take comfort in the hope of eternal rest and the promise of a heavenly reunion.
May our mother’s gentle soul find eternal peace, and may perpetual light shine upon her forever.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
