With a heart of grief, the Dennis, Blacktom, Miller, and Ross families of Careyburg and Johnsonville announce the homegoing of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and pillar of the community, Mother. Sarah W. Dennis. This sad event occurred on the morning of Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Benson Hospital in Paynesville, Montserrado County, Liberia. Our dear mother was raised in the township of Johnsonville by the late Mr. and Mrs. James M. Ross. She was married to the late Mr. Charles F. Williams of Johnsonville in 1962. Her late husband, a sergeant of the Liberia National Navy, predeceased her two decades ago. This Union ended in divorce in 1978. She was the sole proprietor of the All-Peace Restaurant on Benson Street, Monrovia, Liberia.
Ma Sarah was predeceased by both her parents, Mr. Lincoln B. Dennis Sr. and her mother, Ms. Kemah Dennis; her sister, Mrs. Veral Dennis Miller; and her brother, Mr. Franklin Dennis.
She leaves to mourn her siblings, Ms. Verna Dennis, Mr. Tom Dennis, Mr. Garshaw Albert Blacktom, Mr. Lincoln B. Dennis, Jr, Mrs. Bennetta Dennis Bono, Mr. J. Benjamin Ross, her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Arrangement:
The remain is currently deposited at the Abraham Roberts Funeral Home, Steven Tolbert Estate, Mont. Co. Liberia. On Friday, October 24, 2025, there will be a Reflection Hour, and the funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Blacktom United Methodist Church, Lower Careyburg, Mont. Co. Liberia.
All other funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time. Meanwhile, the family appreciates your prayers and support during this time of preparation for the homegoing of our beloved mother.
