It is with deep sorrow that the Dunbar, Tubman, Johnson and Seton families announce the passing of our beloved, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend Rev. Grace Aletha Tubman Dunbar on August 7, 2024.

Ma Grace was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: her loving children, Charles Dunbar (Charlene), Fuletha Dunbar, Herbert Dunbar (Latrice), sons Fulton Dunbar and Tilman Dunbar, her grandchildren, Joshua Ibeh, Ezre Dunbar, El Dunbar, her sisters Laurentine Dwamina, Williametta Dennis (Granville), Bessie Tubman, Harriet Goe, Martha Tubman, her brothers Robert Tubman, Winston Tubman (Nehsee), Alfred Tubman (Angeline), Sammy Tubman, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Ma Grace left a powerful legacy with the Toastmaster community, Refugee International Women Network, and International Christian Fellowship Pastoral, Education, Deacon & Prayer ministries. Her life was a testament to love, selflessness, quiet strength and faith in action. She was a source of encouragement, leadership, wisdom and humor whether you were a close friend or someone she newly met. We mourn the loss of a faithful servant and trusted counselor. May she rest in perfect peace with her Lord Jesus Christ.

The celebration of her life and legacy will be held in Atlanta, Georgia on September 13-14, 2024
