The Wesley and Freeman families regret to announce the home going of our mother, grandmother, sister , aunt, and Cousin Ms. Olive Wesley. Olive left us to be with the Lord on September 4th , 2026. She loved people and was passionate about her business “Jappay African Food Service”.
Olive leaves to mourn her children: Ms. Dekontee E. Richards, Ms. Nellie V. Sieh, and Mr. Nettie N. Sieh J.R, and all of Rochester, New York.
Brothers: Mr. J. Budu Wesley, and Mr. Nathaniel Wesley of Liberia. Nieces :Mrs. Tomah Horace-Massaquoi (Momo), Ms. Antoinette Kollie; Nephews : Mr. Jasper Freeman and Mr. Levi Kollie of Minneapolis MN. All her cousins including but not limited to: Cllr. Eugene Freeman of Philadelphia, PA., Mrs. Mary Freeman-Sirleaf of Washington DC, Mrs. Tode Freeman-Agboglo of Free Port, New York, and several close friends and acquaintances; and a host of other relatives in the United States and Liberia. Olive was Pre-deceased by her Parents: Rev. Jasper Budu Wesley Sr and Mrs. Ella D. Freeman-Wesley; Siblings: Mrs. Janet Wesley Johns, The Rev Cllr. Annie Wesley -Swen, Mrs. Theodosia Wesley-Howard, Mrs. C. Klaneh Wesley-Bruce, Ms. Francis Wesley, and Mr. Harrison Y. Freeman.
The Funeral homegoing service will be held on October 10, 2026 at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church on 397 North St, Rochester, NY 14605 . The viewing and Wake keeping will commence at 9 am and the Funeral follows at 10 am.
The remains will be buried at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery-2491 Lake Ave, Rochester, NY 14612 .
The repass will be held at 353 Congress Ave, Rochester, NY 14619 .
