With great love and the deepest appreciation for her life, the Ngungkpan, Sumo, and Bishop families announce the passing of their mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and Matriarch, Mrs. Kulubah Deddeh Sumo Bishop-Ngungkpan affectionately known as Deddeh Moorlong. She went to be with the Lord on August 27, 2023.
The late Mrs. Kulubah Deddeh Sumo Bishop-Ngungkpan was born in Gbonyea, Lofa County on January 1, 1944, to the union of Mr. Felleh Sumo and Mrs. Garmai Fenkghen. She was the loving sister of Mr. David K. Sumo (Deceased), Flomo Gbleko Togba (Deceased), Gorma Yenwunu (Deceased), Gorpu Nenyong (Deceased), Lateah Kerkulah (Deceased), Nowai Gershei (Deceased), Yarkpah Sawyer Kerkulah (Deceased), and Yarkpajaua Wolokpo (Deceased).
Mrs. Ngungkpan was the beloved wife of Benjamin Wennie Bishop-Ngungkpan Sr. (Deceased), and she leaves to mourn her loss her children, Mr. Ben Gorlema, Mr. Benjamin Wennie Ngungkpan Jr, Mr. Lester D. Ngungkpan, Mrs. Oretha Korkolee, Mr. Vamilar W. Ngungkpan, Mr. Gweseh O. Ngungkpan, Mrs. Munah Swaray, and Mr. Nyankoi S. Ngungkpan, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Daughter in-laws (Beatrice Gorlema, Idah Romo-Ngungkpan, Maude Ngungkpan, Love Ngungkpan, Lilian Ngungkpan, and Komassa Reed-Ngungkpan), son-in-law Mr. Korkorlee and a host of other relatives, and friends.
The Celebration of Life services will be held on September 23, 2023, at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Gaye Town, Monrovia, Liberia. Detailed information will follow shortly. The family can be reached through the following contacts:
