It is with heavy hearts that we the Boston Griffiths, Porter and Rubaba families announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, Sister and beloved family member, Linda Isa Boston Griffiths, who left us on October 17, 2023. She was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, on November 9, 1955, and her departure leaves a void in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Linda Isa Boston Griffiths was born the third child and only girl unto the union of Victor Henry Boston Griffiths and Jenny Ellen Boston Griffiths. The other children born unto this union were Samuel Boston Griffiths, Richard Boston Griffiths and Patrick Boston Griffiths.
Linda Isa Boston Griffiths studied in Sierra Leone and Liberia. She worked for Sierra Leone Airways for a while and eventually her journey took her to the United States of America where she settled down and started a family.
She was predeceased by her parents Victor Henry Boston Griffiths and Jenny Ellen Boston Griffiths, her brothers, Samuel and Richard. She is survived by her loving daughters, Farrellin Iyatunde Rubaba (Jehu) and Oladuni Amelia Porter, grandchildren, Malachi Rubaba, Jehu Hezekiah Rubaba and Zoe Isa Rubaba. She is also survived by her companion and partner Eugene Allen, her siblings Patrick Boston Griffiths, Cecil Boston Griffiths, and Henry Boston Griffiths, as well as sisters named Victoria Tunde Metzger, Joy Boston Saynon, Alfred Boston Griffiths, Florence Boston Griffiths, and Rosaline Campbell. They provided her with support, love, and companionship. She also is survived by several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercies of God, rest in peace.
