The Okyne, Jackson-Kennedy, and the Elders of Krobo Ano Anona Royal family of Senya-Beraku, Ghana announces with profound regret of life well-lived, the peaceful transition of their 91 years old Mother, Esi Mary Okyne (alias: Esi Baker or Maa Esi), on Monday, January 16th. 2023 at her Krobo-Nsi residence in Senya-Beraku, Ghana.
Maa Esi was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and cousin, market woman, former women President United Methodist Church, Monrovia District; Member: Ebenezer United Methodist, Lynch St. Monrovia, Clearview United Methodist Church Philadelphia, Senya-Beraku Methodist Church in Senya-Beraku.
Maa Esi was predeceased by her husband George K. Okyne Sr. and her parents Neyin Kwesi Donkor Jackson-Kennedy and Mrs. Hanna Affulba Andoh Jackson-Kennedy.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her children: Annie Cole, Martha Okyne, Isidore K. Okyne, Samuel K. Okyne, Joseph K. Okyne, Charles E. Okyne, Andrew K. Okyne, George K. Okyne Jr., and Grace N. Okyne-Foley.
Siblings: Oba-Payin Aba Jackson-Kennedy (deceased), Oba-Payin Faustina Affulba Jackson-Kennedy Davies (deceased), Neyin Kofi Jackson-Kennedy (deceased), Neyin James Appiah Jackson-Kennedy (deceased), Neyin Samuel Kow Jackson-Kennedy (Senya-Beraku, Ghana).
Daughters-in law: Angeline O. Okyne, Mariama, D. Okyne, Gifty A. Okyne, Dorice K. Okyne, Angela E. Okyne, Fatu Okyne, Vera D. Okyne and son-in-law: Kennedy Foley.
33 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several godchildren, nieces, nephews, and many relatives and friends at home and abroad.

The second family meeting scheduled for Sunday, February 19th., 2023, on zoom at 6:00 PM EST.
Senya-Beraku, Ghana
Wake Keeping: On Friday March 3rd., 2023 Maa Esi remains will be removed from the Adoko Funeral Parlour & Morgue LTD by sunset and taking to the Awo Ye – Krobo Anona Royal Family House in Senya Beraku briefly for a final customary ceremony then follow by the family wake keeping at her Krobo-Nsi residence (near the Senya Secondary School & Krobo-Nsi junction).
Internment: On Saturday March 4th., 2023 at 8:30 AM GMT her remains will be taking to the Senya-Beraku Methodist Church for funeral service which starts at 8:30 AM GMT and burial will take place at family private cemetery in Senya-Beraku.
Thanksgiving Service: On Sunday March 5th., 2023 at 8:30 AM GMT, a thanksgiving service will be celebrated in her honor at the Senya-Beraku Methodist Church in Senya-Beraku, Central Region, Ghana.
