It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Gyudeanyene Tatuu Yates on April 16, 2026. She will be remembered for her love and kindness towards her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Siede Japay Elliott-Glomah and David Nyenati Elliott Jr.; her daughter, Wade Yates-Jones; her grandchildren, Lucas Jones, Jonah Jones, and Ekedi Jones; as well as her nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Leo Yates, her sisters, Gifty Nyemade Elliott- Biyoyouwei (mama) and Agnes Nwane Elliott- Henry; her brothers, Samuel Kisi Glerd Elliott and Stanley Nyema Gbatadeya Elliott.
