Captain Armett Epaphroditus Hill

The Hill and Kennedy families sadly announce the death of Captain Armett Epaphroditus Hill, who departed this world on the afternoon of May 25, 2023, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra, Ghana, West Africa. Captain Hill was a veteran of the merchant marine industry and well known as the first bonafide Sea Captain of the Republic of Liberia. He was a Navigator, a dedicated Harbour Master at the National Port Authority, and Past Commandant/Headmaster, Liberian Maritime Academy Marshall Territory, Republic of Liberia.

He is survived by his wife, Queenella Nicol-Hill; fourteen children; Clarence S. Hill Sr. (Evangeline), Pastor Lyndon Earl Hill (Rhoda), Armetta Dekontee Hill, Nora Guillavogui (Dique), Ruelda Dempster-Thomas (Andre), Avery E. Hill, Queenette Pearl Hill (Jenkins), Almarie Hill, Quincy Armett Hill, Arometta S Hill, Emmett Hill, Armphinemet Elizabeth Hill, Princess Hill, Angela Nancy Kermett Hill; ten siblings; Almarie E. Hill, Marilyn E. Hill-Goodridge, James E Hill (Lynn), Evelyn M. Hill, Leona E. Hill-Freeman (Rev Momolu), Alvina B. Clinton, Joyce Clinton-Harmon, Marilyn Ivy Clinton, Henry Dubon Hill, Pastor Emmett L. Dunn, Sr. (Suan); seventeen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; uncle, Deacon Richard D. A. Hill, Sr.; stepmom, Leona Gurley Franklin-Hill; a host of other relatives; nieces, nephews, cousins.
