John 11:25 ‘Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”’
It is with a heavy heart that Watson and Karnley families announce the passing of our beloved Dalrine Satta Watson. Dalrine was born in Graystone, Mamba Point in Monrovia, Liberia during the April 6 war. Dalrine’s father, Dale Watson died on April 11, 1996, before she was born. She died at the Redemption Hospital in New Kru Town where she was receiving treatment. She was 29 years old.
Dalrine was a church goer. She loves the Lord, she attended the Remedy Movement International Church, Airfield Sinkor, Monrovia, Liberia. Dalrine was easy going, soft-spoken, caring, respectful, and a genuine soul. She found her way out of confrontations and disagreements with ease. She was always there for others and treated everyone with respect and love. She leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on all those who knew her. Dalrine will be missed but never forgotten. Her memories will forever live on in our hearts.
Dalrine was a daughter, niece, cousin, grandchild, classmate, best friend, most importantly a mother. She leaves behind her pride joy, her daughter, Maude Danielle Greatness. “Baby Maude” as she called her daughter is her greatest accomplishment. She celebrated Baby Maude first birthday on August 14th, 2025, Christmas, and New Year. She felt at peace knowing that she left her footprint behind.
Dalrine graduated from JJ Rorberts High School in 2016. She continued her studies at the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) University and graduated in 2022 with a degree majoring in Sociology and minor in Mass Communication. She received recognition and was awarded a certificate by the National Elections Commission on July 7th, 2023, by serving the Liberian government, the NEC as an election commission.
A special thank you to Mr. Otis D Bartell for taking care of Dalrine for all these years. Our family appreciates what you did for her and will always be indebted to you. Also, to her stepfather, Mr. Daniel Jallah, thank you for being the for Dalrine and supporting her mother throughout when it needed the most.
Statement from her mother, Mrs. Dorothy M Karnley-Jallah
