It is with profound sadness that the Taylor, Johnson, Bracewell,Butler, Siryon, Sarnor families announce the passing of our dear beloved father,grandfather, great- grandfather, brother, uncle,cousin, and friend.
Richard S. Taylor departed this life on June 26, 2025 in Monrovia, Liberia at the age of 87. We are proud of the life he lived and pray that his soul rest in perfect peace and let perpetual light shine upon him.
Richard S. Taylor was predeceased by his wife, Mama Taylor who he cherished. His parents, Willie Taylor and Hannah Butler Taylor. His Siblings, Louise Bracewell Mason, Charlotte Taylor Sheriff, Amanda Bracewell Curtis, Ann Bracewell Tubman,Harriette Taylor, Emmett Taylor, Jefferson Bracewell. Cousins, MaJoe, and Williette.
He is survived by his children, Louise “Ma Lou” Taylor of Rhode Island, Ida Mai Taylor of Liberia, Borbor Johnson(Bendu) of Liberia, Moses T. Johnson of Rhode Island. Siblings Willie Taylor of Liberia, Rose Taylor of Liberia, Annie Taylor of Liberia, and Mai Bracewell of USA. Cousin, Louise Brown Reaves of USA. 15 grandchildren and a host of great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
We are deeply grateful for the love and support from family members and friends both near and far during this difficult time.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday July 12th 2025 at 11am Liberia Time, at the A.B Anderson Funeral Home in Monrovia, Liberia.
Interment follows at Arthington Cemetery
