The Reed Flowers, Quirmolue, Brisbane, Dean, Telewoda, Mulbah, Smith, Roberts, Kokolo families announce with profound sadness the sudden death of their son, father, brother, uncle and cousin, Rev. Eisenhower Sumo Reed. His peaceful transition occurred on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia Liberia. He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. John Y. Reed, Sr., and Ms. Rebecca D. Flowers.
Eisenhower, a real family man with a big heart. He took on family and friends’ responsibilities in times of need and distress. He will be greatly missed; but our memories of his love and care for family and humanity will provide comfort, strength and peace. Sumo, as was affectionately called, attended the Lott Carey Baptist Mission School and the Annie Banks Williams High School in Brewerville. He served as one of the associate Pastors at the Geda Chapel AME church in Brewerville. He leaves to mourn his lovely wife Mrs. Sia Q. Reed, and their children: Samuel, David, Eli, Deddeh, Lorpu, and Tetamah Reed, and serval nieces and nephews. May his soul rest in peace!
Removal of his remains will take place at the St. Moses Funeral Service home @ 3:00 pm in Monrovia.
