
The Sherman, Jinlack, Miller, and Logan families, deeply sorrowfully announce the passing of Prince Sherman Thomas, beloved Liberian gospel music producer and artist, cherished son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Prince was a member of the Liberian Association of Gospel Music Artists (LAGMA).
Prince was born on April 13, 1977, in Lower Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia and peacefully departed this life on July 12, 2026, in Charlotte, North Carolina.
From an early age, Prince developed a profound love for music, a passion that became the foundation of his lifelong ministry. Through his gift of gospel music, he inspired countless lives, sharing messages of faith, hope, and love. Prince lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and compassion. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone he encountered feel seen, valued, and loved. His infectious sense of humor, generous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and genuine concern for others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Prince was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Zanaraha Young Thomas, who passed away a little over two years ago; his parents, Fr. Philip K. Sherman and Florence Grisby-Sherman; his cherished grandmother, Hattie Jinlack; uncle, Clarence L. Martin, Sr., and several siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Trinity Sherman, Prince Sherman, Jr., Serenity Sherman, Semaj Sherman-Thomas, and Princess Sherman-Thomas; his treasured granddaughter; his beloved aunties, Amelia Brown, Beatrice Martin, and Julia Sherman; and his dear siblings, Thomas Miller, Sarah Miller Guzeh (Nathaniel), Patrick Miller, Austin Miller (Cherry), Kerlie George, Artu Torbo, and Faimata Menyongai (Jeremiah). He also leaves behind a host close family members which include nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by his love, faith, and friendship.
