The Williams, Brown, Dempster, Horace, Monger, Harris and Crenshaw families regret to announce the home-going of their precious Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Cousin, Ophelia “Tetatoe” Dempster (née Williams) on May 17, 2024 in her birthplace of Monrovia, Liberia.
She leaves to mourn her home-going, four biological children; Samuel B. Dempster, Jr., Sandra Dempster-Sinayoko (Abraham), Samelia Dempster-Tweh (Adolphus), Ophe Tombekai Dempster, Sr. (Willette). Her cherished sisters; Wallah Williams-Reynolds, Vivian Williams-Gee, Josephine Williams-Abi Rached(William). Her darling Brothers; James S. Horace, Dr. Henry Horace and Rev. Andrew Bondo(Gbolu). Her Step-Father, Mr. James S.Horace.
Her grandchildren; Robert Sirleaf, Princely Barclay, Raphael Tweh, Ralphina Tweh, Angel Tweh, Abra Sinayoko, Amina Sinayoko, Destiny Ophelia Dempster, Ophe Tombekai Dempster, Jr., and Miracle Dempster. Browne and her foster children; Nancy Sailey(James), Yatta Neyor Sengbe, Kachita Dempster-Morris, and Roland Zazay.
A host of adoring nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, caring and loving friends worldwide and her Sisters of Substance of NJ.
She was predeceased by her husband Samuel B. Dempster, Sr., her father David Nyebor Williams, her mother Sarah Brown-Horace, and her Sister Margaret Williams-Nah.
Her life was a testament to the power of selflessness and love. Our Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and cheerful friend was a beacon of support and diligence, nurturing those around her with a compassionate spirit that will be profoundly missed.
As we bid farewell, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for her legacy of genuine love that continues to inspire. She will be lovingly remembered and eternally cherished in the tapestry of loving memories she leaves behind.
