The Johnson, Doe, Robinson, Davis., Abasi, Blamo, Decker, Macauley, Henries, Williams, and Hedd-Williams families regret to announce the peaceful passing of our mother, aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, Nellie G. Johnson. She was affectionately called Nellie J, Ma Nellie, Cousin Nellie, Na Ju, Take it time mu oh, I take you deh.
This sad event occurred at the Carmel Richmond Nursing Home, Staten Island, New York on March 12, 2021.
She was an employee of the Ministry of Agriculture in the Horticulture Section, Monrovia, Liberia for many years.
She leaves to mourn her loss her children, Letitia Theresa Blamo Davies, Prince Decker (Comfort), Dolores Macauley-Bass, Georgia Nellie Henries-Gibson, (Donald), Muyidee Williams and Claudia Hedd-Williams; grand children, great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild, Destinee Acee Ames; sisters, Elizabeth Gbee Johnson and Olive Sobor Johnson; cousins, Abraham Abasi, and Slyvanus Chea Freeman and a host of relatives and friends at home and abroad.
