…. Infusing Leadership with Over 30 Years of Public Service and Private Sector Excellence
The Liberia Chamber of Commerce is delighted to announce the election of O. Natty B. Davis as the new Chamber President, following the recently concluded leadership and Governing Council elections held on 5 December 2023.
With a distinguished career in the public and private sectors, Davis brings over 30 years of experience and leadership to this pivotal role.
He is the Co-founder and Senior Partner of the Devin Corporation, a former Chairman of the National Investment Commission (NIC), a former Minister of State without Portfolio, and a former head of the Liberia Reconstruction and Development Committee (LRDC). While leading the Philanthropy Secretariat, Mr. Davis successfully raised over US$50 million through philanthropy to support the health and education sectors while simultaneously strengthening the capacity of civil society. He has been chair of the Inter-Ministerial Concession Committee and has consulted with businesses in the United States and Eastern and Southern Africa.
As the newly elected President, a statement from the Chamber said, Davis will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic vision of the Chamber and driving initiatives that grow and develop the local business community.
Mr. Davis expressed his gratitude and commitment to the mission, vision, and values of the Chamber.
“I am honored to serve as the President of the Liberia Chamber of Commerce. Together with the newly elected Governing Council and our dedicated members, we will work tirelessly to enhance the business landscape, foster innovation, and contribute to the economic prosperity of Liberia,” he said.
Forming a critical part of his new administration are his Vice Presidents, Mr. Ahmed Wazni, 1st Vice, and Mrs. Jefyne Togba, 2nd Vice, Atty. Oliver Rogers II, Auditor, and Treasurer, Mr. Nathaniel Kevin. The Arbitration Committee consists of three elected officials, Cllr. Benedict Sannoh, Head, Mr. T. Nelson Williams, member, and Mr. Paulo Hermenegildo, member.
The Liberia Chamber of Commerce is also pleased to introduce the newly elected members of the Governing Council who will help drive its new direction: Ahmed Wazni, Nathaniel E. Kevin, Jerry T. Taylor, and Cllr. Benedict Sannoh. Others are Jefyne Togba, John B.S. Davis, Shankar Jhamani, Atty. Oliver N. Rogers II, and Amanda M. Hill. The rest are T. Nelson Williams, Jaspal Singh, Paulo Hermenegildo, Vida Mensah, Laureine G. Housenni, and Ikenna Anekwe.
Outgoing President Cllr. N. Oswald Tweh thanked his administration and the Chamber members for their partnership and support during his term and offered his support and encouragement to the incoming leadership.
“With the recently approved Strategic Plan for the growth and development of the Chamber, I believe my administration has created a solid foundation upon which the new leadership can build. I believe the Chamber has a prosperous future under the leadership of President-Elect Davis.,” he said.
The Liberia Chamber of Commerce extends its appreciation to all candidates who participated in the elections and to all chamber members for their active engagement in the democratic process.
