With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the homegoing of our beloved sister, Ms. O’dell W. Williams. This sad and painful event occurred on August 19, 2023, at the Christiana Hospital in Delaware. Sis O’dell, affectionately called Big Sister, was widely known for her beautiful singing voice. During the early eighties, she sang with the Palms of Victory singing group for five years; she later sang with the BWOC Choir for many years and sang as a soloist on countless occasions. She was an amazing singer and will truly be missed.

She leaves to mourn her loss one daughter, Edwina Joye Wilson; her granddaughter, Nevaeh Harmony Higgins; her mother, Mrs. Helen G. Walker; several brothers and sisters, including Kwia Williams, Reverend Canon A-Too Williams, Mcjuniourson Harris, Ade Tode Williams, Mrs. Wade G. Allison, Kwiaboe Williams, Mrs. Alice Williams Nmah, Sis. Helena Williams, Mrs. Melita Gardner, and Ms. Antoinette Nana Walker. She left behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives. She was predeceased by her father, Mr. Nathaniel K. S. Williams.
