The Reeves family announces with deep regrets the death and home going of our father, uncle, grandfather, great grand father and family man, Mr. William Kamma Reeves, respectfully known as “ Teacher Reeves” , Uncle Reeves and Pa Reeves”. This sad event occurred on Friday January 8, 2021 at Nazareth hospital in Philadelphia, PA. USA.
He was born June 18, 1931 in Kablaken, Karluway District, Maryland County, Liberia. A graduate of Our Lady of Fatima High School, and Maryland College of our Lady of Fatima in Maryland, Liberia, with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, and an Advanced Certification in Teaching at the International Teachers Development Program, U. S Department of Education, Washington DC, USA.
He was a renowned educator with thirty eight years experience as teacher/principal of our Lady of Fatima Catholic High School in Maryland County, Bishop Juwle Catholic High School and Tubman Wilson High School in Zwedru, Grand Gedeh County, Webbo High School, River Gee County, Department of Education Annual Teacher Vacation School, Webbo, all of Liberia, West Africa. He once served as an Ad Hoc Regional Peace Corps Director, Southeastern Liberia. Author of three books: The Native Boy of Nyaake, The National Living Story of Liberia, and Heroes of Gedebo (co-author). He was a great orator and historian that had phenomenal relationship with multitude of former students.
He leaves to mourn his death his only sister Jolomu Hne, his children; Christe Reeves, Amos Titoe Reeves (Korpu), Robert Karpeh Reeves (Ophelia), Felicia Reeves Saydee, Elvis B. Reeves, Franco Nawah(Famata), and Amos Opee Neuta (Bennitta). Grand children; Daniel Boakai, Ayee Kollie, Alycia Tarlue, Christopher Reeves, William Reeves II, Eric Reeves, Franklin Nawah, Caroline Nawah, Lucia Kpaka , Michael Saydee, Lareina Saydee, Jim Reeves, Alianna Sophie Reeves, Robphelia Honey Reeves, Jameel Neuta and Jamaila Neuta.
Great grand children: Daniel Jr. , Gianni and Franklin Jr., a host of relatives and many former students who have fondly become part of his life.
