“But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.”
With immeasurable sadness and broken hearts, the Brima, Batama, Sackie and the Ashante families of Liberia and the United States announce the homegoing of their beloved husband, son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and dear friend, Mr. Thomas N. Brima, Jr. who was affectionately called “Kila” by his families and friends. This sad incident occurred on July 17, 2023, at the North Bay Medical Center, Fairfield, California, USA after a brief illness.
Kila was predeceased by his father, the late Thomas N. Brima, Sr., and his mother, the late Mrs. Jennifer Kumba Batama-Ashante.
He will be mourned by his wife, Catherine Brima, his children (Victor Brima, Thomas N. Brima III, Carol Brima, Abraham Brima, Nancy Cassell, Stephen Ndama, Saveilee Ndama) and grandchildren.
Also mourning the passing of Kila are his stepfather, Mr. Thomas Ashante, several uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia and the United States.
Kila was a sociable, entertaining gentleman who was greatly loved by his family and friends. He graduated from the Lutheran Training Institute, Lofa County, and Cuttington University, Bong County. He was a former officer of the United States Air Force. Kila lately worked at the Robert International Airfield (RIA) in Liberia.
