The Tamba, Ware, Kiawu, and Kiadii families regret to announce the death of Momolue Bai Tamba, Esq. This sad event occurred in London, England on December 2, 2023.
Momolue obtained his primary education at the Firestone Plantations Elementary School in Harbel, Margibi County and later enrolled at the College of West Africa in Monrovia where he obtained his high school diploma in 1970. He also attended and graduated, earning a Bachelor’s from the Cuttington University College in Suakoko, Bong County and later earned a Law Degree from the Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, University of Liberia.
Momolue was married to Aurelia (Teta) Emma Thorpe. Their marriage was dissolved in 2010. Following the onset of the civil crisis in Liberia, Momolue moved to London with his wife Aurelia where he remained until the time of his death.
Momolue held several positions in government and various organizations while in Liberia. He worked at the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs and later served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Justice, Monrovia, Liberia. Momolue also held several sustainable jobs in his adopted home, England during the period of living in the diaspora. He was a member of the Lions Club of Liberia and the St. Thomas Episcopal Church of Camp Johnson Road, Monrovia, Liberia.
He was predeceased by his parents Mr. Varnie G. Tamba of Jundu, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia, and Madam Fascia Kiawu of Pujehun, also of Cape Mount, Liberia, by his son Boima V. Tamba, and by his brother Morvee Tamba. Momolue leaves to mourn his loss his surviving siblings, Bandu Tamba Zogbo, Debah Tamba Kaidii, Varnie G. Tamba, George Bombo Tamba, Mambu Tamba, and Samuel Kortu Tamba, his Stepmother Ma Sando, two grandchildren Momolue and Bendu Tamba, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends in Liberia, England, and the United States of America.
Momolue’s funeral will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Merton and Sutton Cemetery Chapel in London England.
