With profound sympathy, we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Gaye E. Tyler, Sr., who died on October 31, 2026, at the age of 70.
Mr. Tyler dedicated more than 40 years to education in Bomi and Montserrado Counties. As a highly respected educator, he influenced local leadership and inspired numerous students through his commitment to academic excellence. His colleagues, former students, and the community he served will greatly miss him.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Gray Tyler; five children—Musu Tyler, Isaac S. Tyler, Gaye E. Tyler, Jr., Jah J. Tyler, and Dearest K. Tyler; his sisters, brothers, cousins, nieces, nephews; and numerous relatives in Liberia and abroad.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Elijah Baptist Church in Tubmanburg, Bomi County.
