It is with deep sorrow and enduring love that the Lloyd, Pippins and Barchue families along with extended relatives and friends, announce the peaceful transition of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Miriam E. Lloyd.
Miriam was born on May 19, 1947, in Grand Bassa County, Liberia, where she was raised and began her lifelong walk of faith. A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering devotion, she lived a life that exemplified service, love, and humility.
She was a faithful and devoted member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Clearwater, Florida where she joyfully served in multiple ministries. Her heart for worship and service led her to dedicate many years to the Usher Board, Church Choir, Our Cita(Christ Is The Answer) Ministry, and the Nursing Home Ministry, where she offered comfort and companionship to the elderly.
Miriam transitioned peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Cllr. Kathleen Pyne-Makor, Vivian Doodo Addo, Atty. Lafayette E. O. Gould, Jackie Gould-Fatusin, Helen Gould, Trecia Gould, Tracy Gould, siblings: Betty Marpue Lloyd, Nathan Shoe Lloyd, Arthur Lloyd, Lucelia Sayah Barchue, Helen Lloyd-Massaquoi(who predeceased her), Joseph T. Lloyd, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, church family, and all who were blessed to know her.
The Wake will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6-9pm at St. John Missionary Baptist Church located at 1500 Pennsylvania Ave. Clearwater, Florida, 33755.
The Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.
