It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Hon. Jerry Klenyon Chea, Sr., who departed this life on July 28, 2026, at his residence in Paynesville, Liberia.
Hon. Jerry Klenyon Chea, Sr. is survived by his 12 children:
Missy Kronn Chea, Waka Chea, Tarploh Chea (deceased), Tarloh Chea-Doe (Simon Doe), Christian Giblee Chea, Sr. Klenyon Chea, Jr., Tannyenoh Tracy Dedee Chea, Jeletoh Tuma Chea, Kato Chea-Harris (Percy), Jeremiah S. Chea, Frances S. Chea-Breeze (Push), and Teta Chea-Kromah, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, brothers, the Jah family, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and loved ones.
Hon. Jerry Klenyon Chea, Sr. devoted much of his life to public service and the advancement of his country and people. He served with
distinction in several capacities, including:
- Administrative Superintendent of Sinoe County
- Comptroller, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications
- Senior Auditor, Ministry of Finance
He also aspired to continue his service to the people of Sinoe County as a senatorial candidate.
Hon. Chea was a respected and well-regarded figure in his hometown of Jedapo, Sinoe County, where he positively impacted many lives through his leadership, service, and dedication to community development. He was a committed Christian and remained actively involved in church life from childhood until his passing.
As we mourn his departure, we also honor and celebrate a life devoted to family, faith, and public service.
May the soul of Hon. Jerry Klenyon Chea, Sr. rest in perfect peace.
His remains are currently resting at the Abraham Robert Funeral Home.

The remains will be taken to Harvester Ministries Center, Wood Camp, Paynesville, Liberia, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Careysburg Cemetery, Wulki Farm (Shiata Flowers and Vaults) with a repast immediately after the burial.
