We, the children of Famatta Bendu Jones Richards, with heavy hearts, announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Aunt, and dear Friend. Mother Famatta’s passing occurred on August 31, 2024, at 12:15 a.m. at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, United States of America. Famatta leaves to mourn, “Gone but never forgotten,” her loving family, siblings, along with her friends and relatives in the United States and Liberia. Famatta’s warmth, love, and kindness touched many lives, and she will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she left behind, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us.
