The Family of Mr. Eric S. Cox Sr. wishes to announce with deep regrets his passing on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in his 86th year. This sad event occurred at his residence in Washington D.C.
Mr. Eric S. Cox Sr. was a renowned architect and construction professional with a career that spans Liberia, Senegal, Nigeria, Lebanon, New York City, and Washington, D.C.
On a personal level, he was known as an ascot wearing, people loving, dance-floor grooving, Sudoku playing and jazz swinging member of the Cox and Garnett families.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife of more than 52 years, Counsellor Magretta Greene Cox; children, Baysle Cox, Eric S. Cox Jr., M. Cox Mitchell, Toga “J.J.” Cox; several grandchildren and Elijah Smith Cox their foster son. Also mourning his loss are his siblings and a host of relatives and friends who are sadenned by his passing.
