It is with heavy hearts that the Gbedee and Nelson Families announce with profound sadness and the sudden tragedy of our beloved husband and father, Mr. Emmanuel Kwame Gbedee. This tragic event occurred on Sunday, January 12, 2025 in North Carolina, USA.
Emmanuel K. Gbedee was a truly extraordinary soul whose kindness, wisdom, and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known him. His presence brought light and love to his family, friends, and community, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, compassion, and countless cherished memories. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in the profound love he shared and the enduring influence of his remarkable life.
Emmanuel was predeceased by his father, Alfred T. Gbedee, his mother, Mary Jargbah Saydee, stepmother Louise Gbedee, a brother and a sister.
Emmanuel leaves to cherish his loving memories, his loving wife of 30 years and high school sweetheart, Eneye G. Nelson-Gbedee, his four amazing children, Emmanuel K. Gbedee, Jr., Elmer G. Gbedee, Eneye Joy Gbedee, Eliya T. Gbedee., his siblings, uncles, aunts, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
Emmanuel, Eman, Kwame, KEG, MenMen, Sweet Boy, O’ Boy, Honorable, Chairman, Big Brother, Uncle Kwame, as many called him. His presence radiated warmth, and his smile had a way of brightening any room. He spoke with sincerity and compassion, offering comfort to everyone he encountered. May his laughter and words continue to resonate in our hearts as his remarkable soul finds eternal peace. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
The family sincerely appreciates the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
