It is with profound sadness that the Burke, Shumaker, and Henries families announce the homegoing of their mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Danlette Louise Burke-Henries.
Danlette, affectionately called “D Burke” by her family and friends, passed peacefully on the morning of January 1, 2024, in Ashburn, VA.
She is survived by her children, Andia Henries-King, Richard A. Henries III, and Angeline Henries ZehYoue; her grandchildren, Judia King, Anjuli King, Sade Henries Olulwalimu, Danlette Henries, Ariyba Henries, Ayana Henries, Andia Henries, and Richard A. Henries IV; one sister, Ellen Burke Falla Prall; nieces, Erica Dyer and Lydia Dyer (predeceased); nephews, Richard Falla (Lurleen Falla), Jullian Falla (Leighann Falla), Elvin Birch (Natasha Birch), Eric Dyer and Louseni Falla; her cousin, Lydia Garnette; her friends, Mr. Eustace Smith Sr., Lydia Gittens, Ann Bright, and a host of relatives and friends.
