It is with profound regret and deep sorrow that the Anderson, Cole and Dunn families regret to announce the passing of our matriarch, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grand mother, Mrs. Annie Cole Anderson commonly called “Sister Abbey” at the age of 78. This sad event occurred at her home on April 20, 2024 in Gardnesville, MVTC Community.
She leaves behind a legacy of caring, nurturing and providing for anyone in need but more importantly her love for her family. To mourn her passing are her children, Wheaton Thompson ( Esther), Georgia Jones Woods ( Wendell), Venus Ledlow, Sharon Adjavon, Samuel Adjavon Jr., David Anderson Jr. (Marlene), Zoe Anderson, and Yatta Anderson.
Sister Abbey is predeceased by her father Mr. Jeffery Cole, her mother Mrs. Cordelia Griggs Dunn, her beloved husband Mr. David Anderson Sr., two sons Hector Ledlow and Weekee Anderson, three sisters Mary Dunn Brisbane, Cordelia Dunn Gibson, and Farmetta Dunn Clarke, one brother Edward Dunn Sr. and a host of other relatives which includes her thirty-two grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grand grandchildren.
