The Brown, Chesson, Collins, Cooper, Dennis, Moore and Watkins families announce, with faith in Almighty God, the homegoing of Reverend Charles Thomas Brown Jr, in his 75th year.
Our loving and devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, entered into eternal rest on Sunday February 22 at the Hackettstown Medical Center in Hackettstown, New Jersey USA, surrounded by his loved ones.
Left to mourn his loss are his mother, Bishop Mother Rachel E. Chesson Brown (Founding Bishop of the Gates of Heaven Midday Prayer Ministries of Liberia & the USA), and his children, Charlmida Brown Turner (Michael), Carmina Brown Johnson (Pernell), Cyata Brown Montalvo (Robert) and Charlene Cloud. Cherishing his memories are his sisters Bishop Rose-Sophrinia Gbeu Brown Bickel (Sam), Rev. Dr. Julie Brown, Evangelist Bankee Brown Stewart (Frank), Bishop Wanda Brown Sirleaf (Azariah) and Evangelist Rachel Brown Mensah (George). Also mourning his loss are his granddaughters Olivia, Joyce and Sasha Rose Johnson, his great grandchildren Louis, Victoria and Elijah and his nephews, nieces, and cousins including Hon. Charles Collins Sr., Mr. Wendell Chesson, and Mr. Jerry Brown Jr. amongst other relatives and friends in Liberia and the USA.
Rev Charles T Brown Jr. was preceded in death by his wife Delores, by his father Rev. Charles T. Brown Sr., and by his sister Laura Estella.
At the time of his home going, Rev. Brown served as Youth Ministry Pastor of the Gates of Heaven Midday Prayer Chapel in Newark, New Jersey USA. The Church family mourns the lossof this dedicated servant of God. He worked as Hospitality Manager and Assistant Business Manager in the arts and entertainment industries in New Jersey. Whilst in Liberia he studied at the University of Liberia and worked at the Liberian Sports Commission, where he coached and mentored many youths, prior to matriculating to the Philadelphia Bible College in Pennsylvania USA.
Rev. Brown, Baby Charles, Charlie, Sweet Charlie Baby, Rooster, Uncle Charles, Papa, as he was affectionately called, was deeply committed to community service. He was known for his quiet leadership and peaceful demeanor. His devotion to his church and family is a source of strength to his loved ones. May his soul rest in peace.
