SUNSET: MARCH 1, 2021
The Fahnbulleh / Freeman, Garber, Madison, Paasewe, Sambolah and Kanneh families, announce with profound sadness and unimaginable pains in our hearts, the home – going of our beloved mother, sister, aunty, cousin, grandmother and great grandmother – MaSawo Fahnbulleh’s peaceful repose of her soul.
MaSawo infectious smiles, endearing love for everyone, gentle and humble spirit will be dearly missed and thus, linger in our hearts for forever.
MaSawo left from labor to eternal rest on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 5:46 am Monday morning, at her residence in Maplewood, Minnesota with her children by her side and a host of dedicated caregivers, after a protracted struggle with “ End Stage Renal Failure.” She leaves to mourn her children: Gayah Fahnbulleh (Semera ), Sando Tolbert (Franklin / Bolo) Anna Massaquoi Browne ( J. B.) Famata King (Henry ), Bendu Fahnbulleh (Moses) George Fahnbulleh, William Fahnbulleh, ( Pauline ), Miatta Fahnbulleh and a host of grand and great grandchildren and family members in the Diaspora and Liberia. MaSawo is predeceased by her husband, William S. T. Fahnbulleh and her parents. May her soul Rest In Perfect Peace.
MaSawo was a devoted Muslim from an early age for about five decades – continuously practicing her Islamic faith. After “faithfully listening to the “Bible That Is” translated in the Vai language (Hearing by Faith) provided by Sando Tolbert and the teaching by her local Church and daughter, Bendu Fahnbulleh, she came to value the basic principles of Christianity, and became converted to the Christian Faith – to the pleasure of her children, grand and great grandchildren and a host of family members.
She remained a devout Christian – showing deep religious appreciation, compassion and commitment to her newly accepted religion up to her illness and subsequent demise on March 1, 2021.
DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, MASK WEARING AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.
