“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
— Revelations 21:4
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that the Brown family announces the homegoing of our beloved husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and cousin Jacob Kollie Brown who was affectionately called “Dada”. He transitioned to be with His Father on November 6, 2024 in Gbarnga, Bong County after a period of health challenges. He is mourned by his wife Garmai Brown; his children Ester Kula Brown, Dehdeh Zoe Brown, Sangay Musu Brown, Sarah Jackson, Fatu Brown, Hawa Kollie, Sarah Brown, Rebecca Bumbeh, Kumba Brown Mccalley, George Brown, Bulowa Korto Brown, Senkolo Brown, Moses Brown, Jacob Brown, and Jupor Brown; twenty-nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends whose lives he filled with deep love and immense joy.
While we mourn this tremendous loss for our family, we are filled with deep gratitude for the love he poured into all of us, the lessons he instilled in us about how to live, love, and lead, and the way he never missed an opportunity to make everyone around him laugh. He lived a long and full life, and left an impact that will transcend space and time.
The celebration of his ninety-two years of life and legacy will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 in Gbarnga, Bong County (Assembly of Prayers Outreach Ministries)
