At the Paris Olympics 2024, Team Liberia, comprising Ebony Morrison, Joseph Fahnbulleh, and Emmanuel Matadi, demonstrated exceptional athleticism and teamwork. Fahnbulleh placed 7th in the men’s 5000m final with a time of 20:15, while Morrison advanced to the semifinals in the women’s 100m hurdles. The team also performed well in the 4x100m relay, finishing 7th with a time of 38:97, solidifying their position as one of the top teams in the world.
Three of the team members Ebony Morrison, Joesph Fahnbulleh, and Emmanuel Matidi advanced to semifinals and finals.
On August 5th Fahnbulleh won first place of “Heat 1” with time 20:20, he advanced to semifinal 3 placing 2nd on August 7th with time 20:12 advancing to finals. Fahnbulleh ran the finals on August 8 placing 7th with time 20:15 as the 7th fastest man in the world. On August 8th Morrison placed 1st in “Recharge Heat 2” with time of 12:82 advancing to semifinals. On August 3 Emmanuel Matadi ran 100m “Heat 7” coming in 4th place with time 10:08 advancing to semifinals placing 8th with time 10:18.
