Reverend Oliver A. Harris

The Harris, Fofana (of Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia), Noibi, Caranda, and Voker families, along with International Christian Fellowship (ICF) Ministries, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and pastor, Reverend Oliver Amadu Harris. He was called home to rest from his earthly labor on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

Born on April 19, 1975, in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia, West Africa, Reverend Oliver was the son of the late Bishop William B.G.K. Harris and the late Musu Fofana. In his teenage years, he was lovingly raised by his late aunt, Reverend Hannah T.W. Harris Peterson.

Reverend Oliver pursued his formal ministry education at Dominion Theological Seminary (formerly Action Chapel Bible College) in Ghana, Beulah Heights University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Administration, and the International Theological Center, where he obtained a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling.

He faithfully served as the Executive Pastor of ICF Ministries in Atlanta, Georgia, until his passing. Additionally, he was the former Dean and Director of the ICF Bible Institute. His commitment to the Liberian community extended beyond the church, as he also served as Vice President of the Liberian Ministers Association of Georgia, leaving a lasting impact on many.

Reverend Oliver was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Jandi Harris, with whom he shared nearly 20 years of marriage.

Oliver leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories with his beloved wife, Jandi Harris, and his children: Halleli Harris, Haleima Harris, and Hadara Harris. He is also survived by his mother, Queeta Harris, and his siblings: Wilta Harris, the late Lorenzo Tuma Harris, Lasanna Harris (Najah), Wilneka Wilson (Quadrus), Wilmonia Harris, and Wiletta Harris.

In addition, he is mourned by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and dear friends in both Liberia and the United States. May his soul rest in peace in the loving embrace of Jesus Christ.
