With great sadness, we announce the passing of Peggie George Togba on December 20th 2024. Peggie was our dearly loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be missed by her loving family and close friends. She is survived by her children Theresa, Beatrice, Puaka Tanneh, Merci, Doe, Levi, and Tepoteh, eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She also has two siblings, Fineboy and Anna, several nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her children Lockett, Kpoto, Miata, and Leo, and her siblings Jonny, Garson, Taylor, and JP. Peggie received her primary education from the Elizabeth David George Baptist Mission, and received her secondary education from Sinoe High School. She got her teaching certificate from TTI and was a teacher for several decades at the Elementary Demonstration School in Greenville Sinoe County, Liberia. Peggie was an active member at United Baptist Church in Greenville City, Sinoe County, where she served in the choir and as deaconess. She also served as deaconess in Refuge Baptist Church in a refugee camp in Ghana. Her vibrant spirit, infectious smile, and genuine care for others will be deeply missed but forever cherished by her family, friends, and colleagues.
