It is with deep sorrow and very heavy hearts that the Toe, Kofa, and Johnson families announce the passing of Patricia Bohdoe Kofa Toe on November 11, 2025, at the John Fitzgerald Kennedy Medical Center in Monrovia, Liberia.
Born on June 12, 1967, from the union of Philip Boka Toe, Sr. and Cecelia Sibo Joh Kofa, both of whom predeceased her, Patricia, affectionately called “Pattico”, would begin and complete her secondary education at St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Bushrod Island, Monrovia. She later matriculated to the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) University in Monrovia, Liberia where she obtained a bachelor’s in Sociology with honors in 2018.
Patricia’s dedication and commitment to education and love for children led her to the principalship of the Kongee Konwroh Memorial School on Bushrod Island, Monrovia where she touched the lives of students, parents, teachers, and the community for three years, providing instructional leadership, staff management, community engagement, student support and discipline.
Patricia is survived by her one and only child Janjay Special Johnson and her siblings, including Theophilus Nyenawreh Toe (Grace), Sylvester Krahwin Toe (Ernestine), Angeline Bwei Toe-Curry, Stephen Boye Toe, Lucretia Munah Toe, Felecia Sayjoujlah Toe-Neufville, Jacqueline Gbei Kofa-Perkins, Amos Teah Kofa, II (Veronica), Theodora Snohnewla Toe-Kamara, Regina Seklor Moore-Eisiku, Adolphus Sanadeh Toe (Dekor Wesseh), and Josephine Joh Sonpon-Joah (James), Others surviving Patricia are her many nephews, nieces, and cousins in the Republic of Liberia and United States of America.
She, also, is predeceased by her other siblings, including James Krahwin Toe, Bartholomew Twewlor Toe, Araminta Juabwe Toe, and Philomena Klo Toe.
Patricia’s legacy of love, resilience, service, and humility will be carried on by those whose lives she touched so profoundly as is her memory, which will continue to be the light that guides and inspires all those who knew and loved her unconditionally.
