It is with deep sorrow that the Walker, Brown, and Hughes families announce the passing of their beloved daughter, sister, niece, and cousin, Carrington Jai Walker. Carrington peacefully departed this life on January 8th, 2025, to be with the LORD. This untimely death occurred at her place of residence in the Hickory Area of Chesapeake, Virginia. She was a loving soul who touched many lives with her beautiful smile and endless joy. She brought warmth and joy to everyone who had the privilege of being around her.

‘C. Jai’, as she was affectionately called, was born in Washington, District of Columbia. Carrington attended City of Hampton Public Schools and graduated from St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children SECEP/Reach of Norfolk, Virginia in 2019.

‘C. Jai’ had a passion for music, danced to her favorite artist Beyoncé, and loved video chatting with her family and friends. She had a love for fashion, delighting in trendy clothing, makeup, and pampering herself with manicures and pedicures. +Her enthusiasm for life was inspiring and her memory will forever be cherished.

‘C. Jai’ is survived by her parents, Oscar Walker (Yewedi) and Cecelia Brown Walker; and a host of family and friends who deeply miss her and will forever cherish her bright spirit.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Diana Hughes Walker, Henry P. Walker, and Howard C. Brown.

Carrington’s memory will forever light up our hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
