The Gballah, Pratt, Tweh, Bates, and Koffa families announce the home going of their late mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunty, and friend, Mrs. Rachel Leekpelleh Koffa. She claimed the promise of the resurrection on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 6:43 P. M. at the Chippenham Medical Hospital in Virginia, USA, after a protracted illness.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mr. Binda Gballah and Mrs. Marlomehnie Bballah; a sister, Fatu Tucker; two niece, Hawa Gballah and Comfort Nelson; two granddaughters, Rhoda Johnson and Ketoria Bettie; a son, Michael “Darling Boy” Koffa; and her husband, George W. Koffa, Sr.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Mrs. Romell Koffa-Tweh (Fulton) of Liberia; Mrs. Weade “Vickie” Koffa-Bates (Charles) of the USA; Mr. George W. Koffa, Jr. of Liberia; Mr. Paul N. Koffa (Marion) of Liberia; and Francine “Baby sister” Koffa of the USA.
Grandchildren: Valerie A. Bates, Ulysses L. Bates (Kayla), Pauline M. Koffa, Eric Koffa, Shelby C. Bates, Georginia G. Tweh, Simon R. Koffa, Prince Koffa, Miracle Koffa, Georgia G. Koffa, and Favor Koffa.
Great Grand: Paris S. Carter, Zyan Carter, Floci Faith Osman, Ivy Wallace, and Kynnadi Bates.
Grand nieces and nephew: Rachel Nelson, Finda Johnson, Jenneh Johnson, and Moses Johnson.
She also leaves to cherish her memory two wonderful friends, Mrs. Nora Watson, and Ms. Victoria Dean, a host of other relatives and friends.
