With profound sadness, the Wreh, Bowier, Yancy, Gibson, Bowen, Wah, and Martin families announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and cousin, Oretha Josephine Bowier-Wreh. The sad event occurred on December 31, 2024, at 7:00 A.M. at the Levine & Dickson Hospice House at Aldersgate in Charlotte, NC, with her daughter Precious Gibson and niece Piggy Marie Pyne-Alfred at her bedside.
Her parents predeceased her, James Levi Tobias and Cecelia Klade Wah Bowier; her brothers, James Bowier Jr (Toby), Titus R. Bowier, and Harry Bowier; brother Rev. Emmanuel Z. Bowier and her sister, Geraldine Bowier Hoff.
Her death leaves a void that our memories of her will fill. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Moses Snosio Wreh. Her children Melvin J. Yancy, Precious R. Gibson, Tanneh L.Wreh, Monsio Wreh, Leroy Wreh, Precious Bowier(Folley), and William Kiadii(Passi). Her Sisters, Eliza Bowier Thomson, Gladys Bowier, Grace Bowier, and Munah Bowier. Brothers Ronald, Alphonso, and Sekou. Her grandchildren are Jasmine, Danielle, Darius, Adriana, Cece, & Robin, and her great-grandchildren are Ethan, Kylie, Murcie, Heavenly, and Demont Jr. Her sisters-in-law are Mabel Wreh Clarke and Maria Wreh Fitzjohn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews from the United States and Liberia.
May her soul rest in perfect peace
