With grateful hearts, The Ellis, Stewart, and Sandimanie, families announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin Margaret “Nana” Ellis (affectionately known by many as Aunty Nana) in her 81st year. Her passing occurred Sunday, June 29, 2025, 5:10 PM at Boston Medical Center, Boston, MA.
Aunty Nana was predeceased by her father, Mr. Robert J. Ellis Sr., mother, Mrs. Salome E. Barnes; her siblings: Mary Ellis-Carper, Robert J.W. Ellis Jr., Eliza J. Smith, Richard Ellis, Roland N. and John Ellis.
She leaves to cherish her memories a host of loved ones including children; Cheryl Williams-Thomas (Milton), Euphemia Williams-Jones (Vivien), Patience Prowd-Buxton, Charles Burgess-King, Jacqueline Conteh (Abdul). Siblings: Yvonne J. Ellis-Ricks (Sam), Archie L. Ellis, William E. Ellis. Grandchildren, great-grand, nieces and nephews, cousins, Goddaughters Christine Kroma & Andria Bowier and many close family and friends in both the United States and Liberia. Her legacy lives on through all of us and we are grateful to God for the impact she made.
