It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness, that the Sumo and Sloan families announce the death of their beloved son, brother, and uncle Mr. Francis Zingo Sumo, Jr. Zingo passed away on December 11, 2023, in Charlotte, NC surrounded by loved ones. Francis is survived by his mother Yassah Elizabeth Sloan; sisters Janet Sumo, Sabah Elizabeth Sumo, and Korpo Anna Sumo; nieces Mahogany Star Parker and D’mani Chastain; nephew Kamari Chastain; Aunts Ruthie Cole and Korto Sloan; and a host of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his father Francis Jallah Sumo, Sr.
Francis will always be remembered for his extremely friendly nature, and love for music and animals. We are profoundly grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this challenging time.
