With deepest sorrow, the Flowers, Hayes, Cooper, families, announced the death of Mr. Edwin Matthew Flowers Jr. on August 13th, 2024, at The North Memorial Health – Robbinsdale Hospital, in Oakdale. Edwin passed away with his devoted and faithful wife Mrs. Tonia Cook- Flowers by his side and his with sister Alma Opal Flowers and nieces on the phone supporting her.
He is the Son of the Late Bishop’s Deputy Rev. Dr. Edwin Matthew Flowers Sr. & Mrs. Iola C. M. Cooper-Flowers of Cartwright Street, Brewerville City Monrovia, Liberia West Africa.
He leaves to mourn his devoted and kind wife Mrs. Tonia Cook-Flowers, his daughters Tonia Weyatta Cooke, Mrs. Edwina Flowers-Brown (Andre), and Mrs. Gwendolyn Flowers. His sons Mr. Julius Flowers, Mr. Garyah Goba (Shamira) and 15 grandchildren, his siblings Mrs. Edwina Flowers- Hiamah (Frankie), Mrs. Julia Flowers-Philips, Mrs. Cynthia Flowers-Dennis, Rev. Dr. Ralph Flowers (Yassa), Mrs. Alma Opal Flowers and a host of Relatives and Friends, in Monrovia, Liberia West Africa, Uganda, and the United States of America.”
Funeral Arrangements
His wake will be Friday evening September 27, 2024, 6pm-10pm:
Funeral: Saturday September 28, 2024, from 9am-11am at The St. Jude Episcopal Church, 220 Windy Hill Rd. Marietta , GA 30060, where he served as Vestry member.
Interment will be announced at the Church.
