With heavy hearts, the Morlu family announces the passing of their cherished daughter, niece, cousin, sister, aunt, and friend, Massa Morlu Bryant, on November 4, 2024, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Massa was born on September 17, 1973, in Bolahun, Lofa County, Liberia, to the late Gabriel Nama Morlu and Jenneh Mecca Morlu.
After attending Virginia State University,, Massa went on to pursue her true calling in healthcare, obtaining her LPN certification in Florida. Known for her vibrant personality, infectious humor, and generous heart, Massa committed herself wholeheartedly to serving others. Her career was a testament to this commitment; she traveled extensively across Latin America, bringing essential healthcare to underserved communities. Massa’s compassion and dedication touched countless lives, embodying her deeply held belief in the power of service to make a meaningful difference.
Massa is survived by her loving mother, Jenneh Mecca Morlu; her devoted uncles, John Sembe Morlu Sr. and Abraham Morlu, and her dear aunt, Arlie Morlu. She also leaves behind her siblings: Molay Morlu, Ellen Morlu Findley, Korpo Morlu Mends-Cole, John S. Morlu II, Jemba Morlu, Otis Morlu, Koisay Morlu, and Masia Morlu Davis. Massa’s memory will be cherished by her extended family, including numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a circle of treasured friends. She is now reunited in eternal peace with her father, Gabriel Nama Morlu.

Funeral services will be held on November 23, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Hargett Funeral Home, 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro, North Carolina 27401.
