Martha Attia Fleming, affectionately called Mama by her children, passed away on November 13, 2024. Mama, a devout Christian, lived a life filled with love, kindness, and beautiful memories. Her life was a testament to the power of faith. Her sociable and family-oriented nature made her a beloved person in her community. She was known for her giving spirit and her dedication to prayer, which guided her life.
Mama’ s legacy is one of compassion and selflessness. She touched the lives of many with her unwavering faith and commitment to helping those in need. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Mama will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Marmonie Nancy Gartor, her father, John-Toby Dekah Attia, her son, A. Erasmus Fleming, Jr. her brothers Alexander Attia and Bunchie Attia, and her foster mother Rose Knuckles.
Mama is survived by her children: Edwina Fleming Lee Boayue, Inez Fleming, Leroy D. Fleming (Frances), James-Henrique Fleming (Hannah), Paigar Fleming (Love), Alberto Fleming (Barbara), Martin Fleming (Mercy); sister-in-laws Mary Fleming and Rebecca Fleming; her twenty-two grandchildren James Fleming, II (Chelsea), Edwina Fleming-Sayedee (Jerome), Leewelyn Clark, Moses Ngaima, Jr., Dede Ngaima, Christina Fleming, Love Fleming, Joel Fleming, Hannahlisa Fleming, Kimberlyn Fleming, Elijah Fleming, Elisha Fleming, Joy Fleming, Martha-Inez Fleming, Success Fleming, Zentte Sharpe Roberts (Karvin), Love Dennis, Alberta Fleming, Darius Fleming, Letitia Fleming, Martina Fleming, and Alton Fleming; great grandchildren Jerwina Saydee, Jaziel Fleming, Marvelous Roberts and Miracle Saydee and all of her loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
