Sunrise January 18th, 1943 — Sunset July 22nd, 2025
Our world has lost its anchor. With hearts full of both love and sorrow, The Fahnbullehs, Freemans, Massaquois, Tombekais, Watsons, Zokers, Rogers, Kpakas, Jaleibas, Sheriffs, Kamaras, Shermans, Sambolahs, Tolberts, Perrys, Buimas, Kiawus, Paasewes and Kemokais families announce that our cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin, and friend Louise Yatta Fahnbulleh Freeman passed into eternal rest, on July 22nd, 2025, leaving behind a silence that can never be filled.
Mama, Mom, Mommie, Nana, Grandma, Sister, Sister Louise, Aunty Louise, Cousin Louise, Ma Yatta, Mama Louise, Louise, Mrs. Moore, as she was affectionately called, was born on January 18th, 1943, in Gbesseh, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia to Sakou Augustus Fahnbulleh Freeman from Gbesseh and Commissioner of Mano River, Liberia and Hawah Jaleibah Freeman from Mambo, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia. She was predeceased by her parents, Sakou Augustus Fahnbulleh Freeman and Hawah Jaleibah Freeman, her son Julius Dellah Hoff (Darling Boy), her daughter Fatumata Amanda Robinson (David), her beloved sisters Amie Fahnbulleh and Lady V. Tombekai.
Louise was a woman forged in courage and defined by a love that knew no limits. In her early years in Liberia, her bright and ambitious spirit was clear. After graduating from Robert Sports High School, she attended Booker T. Washington Institute (BWI), earning a degree in Secretarial Science with honors, which led to a successful career as an Executive Secretary. But her professional achievements were eclipsed by her role as a mother. In 1985, facing the horror of an impending civil war in Liberia, West Africa she became a savior to her children. Her journey to America was not merely an immigration; it was an epic of a mother’s selfless, sacrificial love that was the blueprint for her life. After years of working tirelessly in the United States, her love culminated in a final, beautiful act of grace: returning to Liberia to rebuild her home as a sanctuary for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The depth of her tireless and sacrificial commitment to her family and friends was boundless; her door was always open, her support was unwavering, and she gave when she had little to spare. A woman of steadfast faith, her uplifting spirit was her greatest gift, leaving every person she met feeling better, stronger, and more deeply loved.
She leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memories, her children: Miatta Ophelia Watkins (Derrick), Clarence Adolfus Moore Jr., Hawa Alida Crowder (Nathan), five grandchildren (Romel Boima Kiandoli, James H. Robinson, Kaleb Fortay Watkins, Alida Louise-Marie Watkins and Kahvi Kesh Ujiima London) three great-grandchildren (Kysani Kheyenne Usanti London, Akili Kiani London and Nani Sanoe London), sisters, brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends in Liberia and the United States of America.
May the soul of our dearly beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.
